The charities we are supporting in 2024

Redbourn Community Group

Redbourn Community Group ( RCG) is a registered charity, run by volunteers, which has been serving the village of Redbourn since 1980. Previously called the Redbourn Care Group, the charity has a new name to reflect its objectives: to provide support to all residents, irrespective of age, to connect our community together and to fund projects which benefit the whole community.

Friends of St Mary's

The Friends have two simple aims: to conserve and maintain the fabric of St Mary’s Church ( Redbourn's only Grade 1 listed building) and its churchyard. This is not just for the benefit of those who worship at St Mary’s, but for all who live or work in Redbourn and see the church as an asset and a focus for the community.

Every 5 years there is a survey of the building which lists the conservation work needed on this building to preserve it for future generations.

Redbourn Village Hall

Redbourn Classics 2021/22 funded new lightweight folding tables & repairs at the Village Hall which we know will be appreciated by the many groups using the Hall.

Redbourn Classics 2018 & 2019 donated £3,000 to the Redbourn Village Museum's Appeal to rebuild the stone portico (c.1750) from "Redbourn House", which was the home in Redbourn High Street of the Bowes Lyons (Queen Mother's family). The portico can now be seen in the grounds of the Museum.
